Fathers Day breakfast

Happy Fathers Day, Dad!

First we went to Pete's for breakfast. There were a lot of families there celebrating Dads Day. My mama and I gave Dad a card with gardening tools on it, perfect!

On the walk home I made my shadow go up, down, up, down.

It was a nice walk home.

Then I gave my dad a card I made at school.

I figured you guys up there in the Coffee-Bean Town had no idea what shadows are; maybe just a funny-looking low person tagging along. Enjoy the sun. We are in the middle of "June Gloom" here in SD. Apollo is resting and gathering his strength behind the gray marine layer preparing for his glorious and blazing emergence in July. Get out your sunglasses and straw hats.

Great pic of Pop and Elliott walking down the sidewalk. That's a classic.

PS - I believe I heard on the radio that this Sunday is "Uncle's Day", and I am accepting gifts. An 8-inch optic tube Celestron Advanced Series GT telescope with German equatorial mount and a 17mm Baader Hyperion eyepiece would be just fine.

Reminds me of a little poem by
Robert Louis Stevenson. It starts something like this:
I have a little shadow that goes in and out with me
And what can be the use of him is more than I can see.
He is very, very like me from the heels up to the head;
And I see him jump before me, when I jump into my bed. GG>
