My mama and me this morning. I'm wearing the denim jacket that Grandma Barb got me last year. My mama rolled up the sleeves so that it would fit.

Gardening

This evening I did some gardening with my folks. Sometimes gardening just feels like playing in the dirt.

Pike Place, then the Road Hog

My mama had to work today, so my dad took the day to stay with me. We didn't stay home though. By 9:30 we were at Pike Place Market.

This area of the Market was still getting ready for the day. It gets way more crowded there.


Seattle has a fun art fundraiser going on called Pigs on Parade, which raises money for Pike Place Market. My friend Todd and my dad have been waiting for an opportunity to me a ride on the Road Hog pig statue, which is right next to where they get coffee.

Good to have a day around my neighborhood

This morning my dad and I took a walk. We went to the playground and played on the swings and the slide. We met a puppy there, he was funny.

After the playground, we went to a bakery named Fresh Flours.


After our walk, Turtle and I took a nap.


Clara and Luisa live across the street. We're friends.

Family Vacation - We're Home!

We had a great trip, but now we are home. It's great to be home! We are getting caught up with our photos and videos. Enjoy!

My mama and dad set up a drum set for me. My dad said it was a tribute to Max Roach, but I didn't know him.

Family Vacation - Picnic in Tillamook

After the Cheese Factory, we had a nice picnic at the local park.



My folks gave me some Mac & Cheese, which I liked a lot. My dad then gave me some cole slaw, which I didn't like. I went over to my dad for more Mac & Cheese, but all he had was cole slaw.

Family Vacation - Tillamook Cheese Factory

Today we drove to see the Tillamook cheese factory. As one would expect, there was lot's of cheese.

After seeing the factory, the Tillamook people were happy to sell us some ice cream.

Family Vacation - Oswald beach

My friend Todd told us about a great beach near Manzanita in Oswald West State Park. We loved it! Lot's of people love it there. We counted sixty surfers there and more were coming all the time.

I got to drink from a water fountain. Not my first time, but always a treat.


The access to the beach is along this really nice trail. There were big trees!

Family Vacation - Climbing Stairs

I am learning to climb the stairs at our cabin. I have successfully ascended them a half dozen times. My folks stay close and they are nervous, but I'm pretty good at it now.

Family Vacation - Seaside

We visited Seaside today. It was a bustling place with lots of kids. We saw the aquarium, the beach, the promenade, bumper cars, and lots of candy stores. We enjoyed our visit to Seaside, but we were happy to go back to the cabin in Manzanita afterward.

Family Vacation - Elliott Discovers the Pacific Ocean!

We left the cabin and walked west. We kept going until, lo and behold, there was more water than I had ever seen. It was really big and very beautiful. I will call it the Pacific Ocean.

The water was warm, but it was a little scary how it would rush in, then rush back out again.
