Dinner party with Aunt Barb

Aunt Barb and Cousin Sean and Jessie came over Sunday night. Grandma Barb and Grandpa John made a big dinner, and we had a great time.

Aunt Barb brought bubbles! It was fun! Thanks Aunt Barb!

I like those bubbles!

After changing into my p.j.'s, Aunt Barb blew more bubbles.

Eating oysters

Well, I didn't eat any oysters, but my dad and Grandpa John had some. They seemed to have a good time, drinking beer and eating oysters.

Visit from Tennessee Bob!

My dad's old friend Bob and his wife Kim visited today. It was good to meet you!

We had breakfast together, then my dad showed them all around the city.

Me and my dad with Mr. T.

I liked Kim.

My first popsicle

I am getting some new teeth. It hurts a lot. My mama and Grandma Barb gave me a popsicle hoping that it would help. I don't know if it helped my toothache, but I sure liked that popsicle!

It was kinda different, and I wasn't real sure about it, but I knew I liked it.

Peach Pie!

My dad likes pie better than just about anything. Grandma Barb has come to his rescue, making a peach pie from fresh local peaches. Yumm!

Yep, that's a mighty fine lookin' pie, Grandma Barb.

Peach Pie, fresh outta the oven!

Making pesto

I love the sound of the food processor, so when I heard we were having pesto pizza, I knew I would get to hear that engine whine.

Grandma Barb prepares the pesto.

Playing with the director chair

Fun is where you find it, even with a directors chair. I just like playing, I guess.

New shoes!

My mama and Grandma Barb took me to get new shoes today. They even have cool orange color on the bottoms!

My dad was just being silly when he took this picture.

At the playground with Grandma Barb

My Grandma Barb and I went to the playground this afternoon. My dad went along to take pictures.

Grandma Barb showed me how to do a high-five while swinging.

Then Grandma Barb showed me the double high-five!

The playground has a cool fort made of rocks.

I like cruising the rocks.

Feeling better

I am feeling much better. I took three naps today, and am able to keep my food down now. My dinner wasn't very fancy. My mama said that I have to eat crackers and plain noodles, and a little bit of water, and that's about it.

I have merely tolerated Grandma Barb up until now, but I'm warming up to her a tiny bit. I think I will give her a chance, but only because my mama likes her so much.

We went to the Phinney Ridge Farmers Market tonight. We saw Kyra, a girl from my school. It seems we always see somebody we know. Next Friday night is the last one of the season. We will miss it.

At home sick

I had to stay home from school today because I have stomach bug. I'm barfing a lot. Plus I'm all sniffly with a runny nose. It's going around, they say, and it's no fun.

Grandma Barb is here. She arrived yesterday. My mom and dad say she's cool, but I am suspicious. Perhaps I'll warm up to her.

Oh well, hopefully better tomorrow.

Waiting for Dad to make an Espresso II

My dad makes espresso a lot. I like the sound of machines, so I don't mind, plus I really like the steam part!

My mama suggested that we video it this morning, since it's exactly one year since the original video. Click to see the original Waiting for Dad to make and Espresso. Wow, I was a little kid back then!

After the party

After the party, my mama and dad were cleaning the kitchen. I wanted to help but I couldn't get through the gate. Let me in!

Hop Fest 2007

We had Hop Fest today! First the hops were harvested, then we made a batch of beer. We had two pizzas and some cake. It was great to see everyone!

My dad went up the ladder to bring down the top of the hop vines.

It was rainy out, so we harvested the hops in the garage.

Doug shows Cynthia how its done.

Hops!

I like Hop Fest!

Randy puts the hops in the kettle. In a couple of weeks we'll have some homebrew.

Jackie, Todd and I played a lot. She took this picture.

Philip and Cynthia brought a cake.

While the beer was brewing, everyone talked and had pizza and Randy's homebrewed beer. Well, I didn't have beer, of course.

Rice Crispies

My dad made pop-overs for breakfast, but mostly I wanted my rice crispies. They make funny sounds!

Visit from Cousin Steve and Eileen

Cousin Steve and Eileen came for a visit. It was really great to meet them. We had lunch, walked near the fishing boats, then went home for a nice visit.

They gave me a cool crab backpack. I love it! Thank you!

Here I am wearing my crab backpack. Thanks again folks!

Farmers Market with Sean

We like to go to the Farmers Market on Friday evenings.

This time we saw Sean there!

The front garden

This morning my dad took some pictures of the garden.

The front raised bed gardens have zinnias, basil, lettuce, corn, and those vines going up are hops.

Here is a close-up of the hops. My dad is harvesting them this weekend.

Here we planted a Coral Bark Japanese Maple. My mom named it Ichiro. My dad says there will be a patio here someday.

Here I am ready for our evening walk. Behind me you can see the front garden and Ichiro.

Okie doke, Turtle and I are ready for the walk now. Off we go!

Camping Trip

We went camping this weekend at Icicle Canyon. It was fun! Here are some photos.

We had a big fry-up for breakfast Saturday morning.

Seth brought this really cool hammock. I liked being in it by myself, but I liked being there with my mama best.

On Saturday, we had a picnic.

Jackson and his folks were there.

Teddy was there this weekend. He's funny!

I didn't go for a swim, but my dad held me down to the water so I could splash in it. Blue Guy said it was cold!
