U Village

We went to U Village shopping center. I had to wait a few times while my folks did some shopping, but we did fun stuff too. I rode an escalator in Crate & Barrel, and I played in crates at the Storables store.

First we went to Jamba Juice for a snack. Hi dad!

They have a nice play area for kids.

They have great fountains here. This one has turtles and frogs that squirt water!

Another cool fountain.

Coming in for a landing! Neeeahhhrrrr!

Uh oh, I got wet.

Lake Union airplanes

We didn't have school today, so my dad stayed home with me. After breakfast we went to South Lake Union, where the airplanes land right on the lake.

It was fun to watch them land and take off.

A train ride to Claremont Farmers Market

This is the last day of our big summer vacation. We are really glad we got to spend time with Gabriel and his family. Thanks very much for having us folks!!!

This morning we took the train from Gabriel's house to the Claremont Farmers Market. Another train ride!

Waiting for the train.

It's fun riding together!

At the Claremont Farmers Market.

It was hot so the juice stand was popular with the kids.

Snack time with Gabriel.

At Gabriel's house

We are wrapping up our big summer vacation with a stay at Gabriel's house near Los Angeles. My mama has known Gabriel's folks for a long time. I like staying here, we're having fun.

This morning we went to a park. At the pond we saw turtles in the water. That's Gabriel's mama, Gabriel, Gabriel's dad, and my mama and me.

My new friend Gabriel.

We played Thomas trains after the park.

After naptime, we went to the pool. My mama and dad said I did really well in the pool. I was brave! Gabriel was there, as was Greyson the Elephant. Samuel did not go to the pool.

Riding the Coaster!

Today I rode on a train! A real train called the Coaster. We took the train from Encinitas to San Diego. We had dinner with Uncle Kip then we rode home again. This was my first train ride and it was a good one.

Waiting for the train.

Here it comes! Here it comes!

Mama and I, plus Samuel and Grayson the Elephant, ride the train together. My dad was there too and he took the photo.

Wow!

After dinner, riding back.

Moonlight Beach

We left Uncle Kip's house, thank you Uncle Kip! We are now staying at a hotel in Leucadia, CA. It's part of Encinitas. My dad says Leucadia exudes a certain low rent charm. I think that's good.

There are beautiful beaches around here. We went to Moonlight Beach. It's very popular.

I loved going to the edge of the water and having the waves splash into my legs!

They have a nice playground right at Moonlight Beach.

Balboa Park

Today we went to San Diego's Balboa Park. You could spend all day exploring there, but we went specifically for the Model Railroad Museum.

Susan, Uncle Kip, my mama and me. Samuel was in Uncle Kip's backpack.

The California Tower, which houses The Museum of Man, is an icon of the park.

The Model Railroad Museum was amazing!

The trains stop here until the kids push the button.

Uncle Kip and I enjoyed the Museum very much.
