Car Seat Facing Forward!

Today is the big day - my car seat is facing forward! I wasn't real sure about it at first - I didn't get it - but then I liked it a lot!

Dinner at Sean and Jessie's

My mama and dad and I went to Sean and Jessie's for dinner. It was fun. Thanks for having us over folks!

Before dinner, Jessie and I did some walkin'.

My dad was there, and we did some walkin' too.

After dinner we had a nice party.

I like listening to the drum.

Sean let me play some.

They have a cool bean-bag chair called the LoveSac. I like it!

Snow Lake - My first hike!

My dad took me on my first dayhike today. We went to the ever popular Snow Lake. I took Turtle, of course, plus Ovibus the muskox came along.

I liked hiking, but since it was sunny, my dad wanted me to have my hat on. Everyone knows that I don't like to wear a hat. So my dad and I argued all the way to Snow Lake. He put the hat on, I took the hat off. On and off, all day long.

It was a beautiful summer day. Thanks for the hike Dad!

At the car, Ovibus and I are ready to go!

Stopping for a snack. My dad says it's important to get lots of snacks when hiking.

On the trail.

We saw flowers...

...and mountains...

...and more flowers!

And, of course, Snow Lake!

We had a nice picnic.

My pal Harry and I hung out at the park. It was good to see him.

Dinner with Mason and his fam

Mason and his mama and dad came over for dinner. Thanks for coming folks!

Mason's dad made up a song about celery. It was funny!

Playtime at Green Lake Park

Mama and I went to the Green Lake Community Center Play Group. I saw some of my buddies from the co-op.

Isabelle and I enjoyed playing with the activity box. Well, Isabelle enjoyed biting it!

Isabelle and I were playing with her big brother, Alex.

On the phone with GranTom and GranGlo

Sunday is the perfect time to catch up with GranGlo and GranTom. My dad held the phone to my ear and I could hear them saying Hello to me.

Listening to my mama talking.

Making squeaking sounds.

The family garden. My dad was discussing the family garden with GranTom and GranGlo.

New art on my walls

For my birthday, I got two pieces of art for the walls of my room. They are both really nice.

My Grandma Barb got me this art called Turtle Dance, and even has a fancy frame. Thank you!

My Uncle Kip sent me this really cool art called Rocket Boy. I love it! Thanks Uncle Kip!

Todd Visit

Todd came over and helped my dad install baby-proofing gates. Thanks Todd! Todd and I are buddies. We get along just fine!

Vrrooom!

Dancin' with me and my mama.

Rainy Days

My folks say it usually dry in Seattle in July, but it's rainy right now.

I like my umbrella. I don't use it to keep me dry, though. I just like to bite the handle.

One year ago that I came home!

It was one year ago today that I came home from the hospital. As my dad says, well, a lot has happened! One year ago.

Rainy Farmers Market

My mama and I met my dad after work at the Phinney Ridge Farmers Market. We have gone three times, but this is the first time it rained. It was still fun, but my mama was worried that I was getting wet. I was getting wet, but my dad said it was nothing to worry about.

Little Galileo

I like to drop things. I drop stuff to watch it fall and land. I like to drop my measuring cup, the dough mixer, my lime, and even my silver cup.

My dad says I'm another Galileo. I don't know what that means, but maybe Galileo will come over and drop stuff with me sometime.

Sometimes my mama and dad will pick it up for me, but lately they just shake their head and let it sit there. Sometimes if I stare at it long enough they will pick it up for me.

With my dad

My dad was on his way to work this morning and my mama took our picture.

Brushin'

Dr. Allen said that now that I have teeth I have to learn to brush. My dad says my toothbrush should have a brush on both sides and on both ends. Not a bad idea...

My toothbrush has a turtle on it, naturally.

Crawlin'!

I figured out how to crawl a couple of days ago. It's not that hard really. You just have to want to get somewhere and keep goin'.

I wanted to get under the coffee table. Great toys down there.

Grandma Barb went home

Well, my Grandma Barb had to go back east. I sure will miss her. It was great to have you here Grandma Barb!

On the way to the airport, we stopped by Lighthouse.

Ringin' the Bell

We have a great bell right outside our back door. My dad got it out at a store in Stonington, Maine. My mama says he took at least a half hour to pick it out! Well, he got just the right one.

My dad has me ring the bell every morning on our way out the door.

Olympic Sculpture Park

Today we visited the Sculpture Park. It's cool, but I liked the gravel best.

Grandma Barb and Grandpa John and me at the Olympic Sculpture Park.

I looked up from the gravel just long enough to let my mama get this picture.

Carpenter Boy

I like playing with my tools that Aunt Barb and Uncle Bob gave me. The hammer is my favorite.

Thank you Aunt Barb and Uncle Bob!

Backyard pool

Summertime is heatin' up here in Seattle. My folks got a pool for the backyard, and today we tried it out.

I like bath time, but I'm not sure about this pool business. Hmmm, just the toes at first, please.

Grandpa John and Grandma Barb were there.

Backyard pool scene.

Cool guy after the swim.
