Hop Fest 2007

We had Hop Fest today! First the hops were harvested, then we made a batch of beer. We had two pizzas and some cake. It was great to see everyone!

My dad went up the ladder to bring down the top of the hop vines.

It was rainy out, so we harvested the hops in the garage.

Doug shows Cynthia how its done.

Hops!

I like Hop Fest!

Randy puts the hops in the kettle. In a couple of weeks we'll have some homebrew.

Jackie, Todd and I played a lot. She took this picture.

Philip and Cynthia brought a cake.

While the beer was brewing, everyone talked and had pizza and Randy's homebrewed beer. Well, I didn't have beer, of course.

My dad says it will be an Amber. But there are lots of hops for more brews!

Hey! I have an idea! start selling the beer: "Elliott's light", or "Elliott's stout" (I don't even know what stout means, sorry!). I'll have a pint of Elliott's! thanks.

I like Marta's idea. "From the Pacific Northwest comes the taste of Elliott's Amber. Skillful hands blend the taste of fresh Cascade hops with smooth malts. I'll have an Elliott's Amber, please! (Brewed by Kemp's Brewery, Seattle, Washington.)"

I am available to do radio spots for the right price.
