Today we went pumpkin hunting. My dad says you have to sneak up on them, otherwise they will get away. I think he's just funny, but I go along.
The farm we chose to visit is called the South 47 Farm, and it's very beautiful. The place was packed with families in spite of the weather.
In our rain jackets.
Farmer Elliott.
They have a growth chart, so I guess they want us to come back year after year. My dad said this place is a well-oiled machine.
Jackie and I got a snack together. I like Jackie!
Okay, now let's go pumpkin huntin'!
Looking for just the right one.
This is the one!
My mama and dad picked one from the field. My dad said the ones out there are still wild.
Here we see Jackie's pumpkin, mine, my dad's, and my mama's. All four of us caught one!
That was fun! Off we go, taking our prizes home.

Great colors in the pics despite the rain (wish we had that here). I love punkins. They're my favorite crop next to chiles. That ride in the wheel barrow with those punkins looks like some real fun.

Elliott! What fun it was to punkin hunt with you! Can't wait to do it again. Jackie
